thedressingroomOkay, so, the setup that used to be here was frankly ridiculous, so I took the comm rules down and overhauled them into something that will hopefully be easier for everyone to remember without scaring anyone off. TDR and comms like it have been around for a while, and if you're here, you probably have a pretty good idea of how it works already. (If not, please don't hesitate to ask.)
The Number One Rule of TDR:
THE OBNOXIOUS RULE
Everyone has a right to play their characters their own individual ways. Not everyone is going to like everything that everyone else does all the time. But if either you as the mun or your character are playing in such a way that is ruining the experience for the people around you, that is unacceptable. This applies to gratuitous or insensitive use of trauma triggers as well as to IC/OOC wank. No one wants to see it here. Violators of the obnoxious rule may get a warning before a ban, but that will be on a case-by-case basis. Bannings are always, ultimately, up to my judgment as your mod.
If you feel that someone is in violation of the Obnoxious Rule, report it. You are not inconveniencing me by doing so, and your complaint will not necessarily result in automatic action. If you have questions, ask them. Comments, make them. Any contact with the mod(s) will always be completely confidential.
That being said, here are some other quick things to remember:
- Do not use this community as a message board.
- Do not advertise for outside comms/games unless you clear it with the mod(s) first.
- OOC posting is fine, but the Obnoxious Rule will be doubly in effect.
- Keep any immediately visible material as worksafe as possible, but beyond that, just don't get us ToS'd, please.
