[There's a pile of books beside the beanbag this wolf is sitting in, a collection that seems to dip into some fairly advanced magic. Remus frowns as he flips through the pages. He's decided that he really ought to take advantage of his time here, and this little studying session promises to be the first of many. He seems preoccupied, though, and occasionally stares off into the corner of the room instead of at the pages before him, thinking about all he has to look forward to when he heads back to the cottage.]

[Well, then. He'll just grab a handful of shirt and hug a little tighter.]

A little faith in yourself, Moony.

[But it's said gratefully, for the reminder.]

You shut it. Eat your bloody chocolate.

[Pulls back and shoots him a cheeky grin before taking a big bite of that delicious chocolate, already feeling it warm him from the inside.]

...c'mon. I'll make you some tea.

[He seems amenable to that plan and turns toward the cottage with an only slightly weak gait. Chocolate is helping.]

I'm not an invalid, Padfoot. I can make my own tea.

I was going to have you open the biscuits, but hey, if you want to do it the other way...

As taxing as that sounds...

[He trails off, instinctively looking up into the sky, trying to gauge the hours of daylight left.]

[He lifts his face to the sky, too, squinting a little.]

Reckon you've got time to eat something before you hulk out.

Before I what?

Worst attempt at humour ever. Forget it.

[Remus looks at Sirius with what begins as a mystified, frustrated expression, and only becomes knowing bemusement once he turns to face the cottage again.]

You are ludicrous.

Part of my charm, Moony. Part of my charm.

[Lacing their fingers together, totally casual.]

That was a brilliant piece of spellwork at the end there. By the by.

Yeah, I know. [Smug!] I earthed it. S'our forest, now. We won't have to cast that big again.

Not that it was difficult in any sense. I'm sure I could run a marathon just now without a problem.

That's 'cause you're well fit.

[Derp.]

Oh, Padfoot, you know just what to say. [Chuckles as he holds the door open for them both.]

I'm well-trained. [Kiss on the cheek as he saunters inside.]

[Looks at the sky one last time before following, taking another big bite of his chocolate and heading toward the kitchen to start the tea. If he doesn't make small talk now, that familiar bundle of nerves and exhaustion might drive him mad.]

So, how have you been spending the brief moments we're apart? Exploring the Room at all?

[He didn't really think Remus would make the tea, but nervous energy is nervous energy. Sirius will be master of the biscuit tin, instead.]

Yep. Wandered through a few doors. Spoke with a helpful chap about the manifold on the bike. Tried to work out a way to get the bike here and gave it up as a bad job. Got you a present for after the moon.

We could try to recreate her, if you'd like. I know you must miss it.

[Wait, present? Ears are perked.]

[He'll just have to bite his lip, die a little of suspense and keep brewing.]
