[It's snowing, but only gently - enough to have the odd flake settle in Narcissa's hair and on her scarf, but not enough to obscure her vision. The wind carries most of the icy crystals away from her, anyway, swirling in barely-there flurries over the edge of the cliff and out into the nothingness and clouds beyond. It captures the edge of her cloak, causing the sturdy wool to cling momentarily, outlining her leg before whipping away to reveal leather boots and a divided skirt. Narcissa holds a broom in her left hand, a single iridescent feather tied to the handle with a scrap of ribbon.

In a moment, she's going to step from the edge.]

[And he does, turning his head to glance back at her and quite possibly making a silly face as he does so.]

[Her words are shouted into the wind as he flies past her.]

I wouldn't know! You might have found someone to replace me--

[Oh dear, someone almost had a collision with an errant bird. Where on earth did it come from?]

Look out--

[Very near collision with that bird, Reggie - mind!]

Never! You are one of the few constants in my life!

[regulus]

--I'm all right!

[Just about. The bird may have suffered a fright, though.]

You're certain I'll never be replaced by a younger, more fashionable model?

[pridegoesbefore]

And risk your ire? I'd not be so foolish!

[Delight brightens her features as she guides her broom in a lazy loop-the-loop.]

[regulus]

Unless my replacement could also get rid of me!

[What, no barrel roll?]

[pridegoesbefore]

I can't picture--

[Circling around a puff of cloud.]

--you displacing yourself!

[regulus]

But I wouldn't be able to bear sharing your attentions. It'd be a fight to the death!

[But they're fun. Look at him go!]

[pridegoesbefore]

--you're silly!

[And insane!]

[regulus]

I think you mean to say astute!

[And skilled!]

[pridegoesbefore]

No, I meant silly!

[Laughing, she steers her broom in giant figure-eights. Her hair ripples behind her like a banner, her cloak billowing underneath it.]
