I should have had at least a week with them before this happened -- get off the floor. You need ice more than a tissue.

[He gets up, if reluctantly. Unfortunately his mouth tends to run faster than his brain. It's a family trait.]

[he's acquiring ice, at this point, since he doesn't trust the kid to do it himself. or properly, for that matter. the ice is wrapped up in a thin towel and Arashi knots it shut.]

[He snaps to it faster than he likes and obeys without a hint of hesitation.]

Three. Hey, uh, can I ask you a question...?

No. [not until he's certain that there's no brain damage involved here, anyway. it's always harder to tell with teenagers.] What's your name?

[it's a few moments of Arashi staring at him in utter silence before he gets any response.]

[Well now things just got... weird, okay. He takes his phone from his pocket, plays with it, and flips it to show Arashi a blurry side picture of what is obviously Harvestman.]

[Arashi stares at the picture for, again, several moments of very conspicuous silence before glancing back at Henry, his expression a little more blank than irritated, now.]

Is that all you wanted to ask me?

[He is so disappointed in that non-reaction. Damnit, his friends were wrong.]

Well, yeah. I'm mean, you're Arashi, right?

[oh, that's a nerve. he hates any suggestion that his reputation has, for whatever reason, preceded him.]

You don't have a concussion and the ice will keep the swelling down. Unless you have something important on your mind, I've got things to do.

Look, dude, my friends just told me you know this guy and, like, I just wanna talk to him? I'm not trying to piss you off here, really, I'm not.

I don't want them to get in trouble or nothing, they're just, like, my clubbing friends. They're, uh...

[that word could probably be said with more scorn, but not easily. never mind that he works in a club himself. there is a significant difference at work here and Arashi is never at a loss for derision.]

That is really the least of my concerns.

I wanna ask him a personal question, that's it. If he doesn't wanna answer it, that's cool, but that's all I want.
