[ sooooo, there is a familiar kid over here, that one twiggy teenager who tends to drop into the room unceremoniously from ceilings or crawl in from air ducts in the floor. and he is just. sprawled on a raggedy old couch with a copy of One Piece draped over his face. the crinkled pages flutter a little every time he breathes (accompanied by the occasional snore).

his right elbow is wrapped in what looks like a ThermaCare heating stretch pad, and a few of his fingertips are covered in Band-Aids. tennis elbow, callouses; somebody's been working hard, basically! no surprise there, folks know he's a dart-thrower. and a dancer. and... maybe not other stuff, but, y'know. s'all good. ⚆‿⚆?

falling asleep and winding up here was probably unintentional, though. err. ]

[Yawning up at her is better than yawning in her face, and she sets his book aside and gestures to her ballgown in response to his question.]

You're right. [ he points at the book in question, grinning wryly. ] I take my manga pretty seriously, what with my bandmates stealing them all the time. You ever read comic books?

Ohhh... well, it's a good choice, you should definitely get it when you go back. [ maybe a little shyly - he's not practiced in giving girls compliments: ] You look like a princess.

Not really. There were the Marvin stories when I was younger, but I much prefer a novel. [But now she eyes the book with curiosity.] I've not heard the term 'manga' applied to comic books, though.

Thank you. It's rather spectacular, and I do feel quite wonderful in it - all to the good when it's been made specifically for me.

Oh - manga is basically Japanese for comic book, although the illustration and story style is usually kind of different. What are the Marvin stories?

[ and then a meek look. it probably should have occurred to Taemin that she could afford to have custom made gowns. he scoots over in case she wants to make herself more comfortable with all those skirts on the couch. ]

Narcissa doesn't need much room, but her skirts are marvellously voluminous, so his action is appreciated if a tad unnecessary. It's only fabric.]

Something along those lines. I do take immense satisfaction in looking my best when I don't want to be somewhere; sort of like armour, I suppose.

Oh, the usual slapstick mishaps. I think his name was Martin, actually... it's been a very long while since I've seen one.

[ Taemin arches a brow doesn't press any further; instead, he nods in reply to her question. his smile is bright, but there's something tight around the edges. not uncomfortable or sad or even tired, but probably an approximation of what it looks like after the last interview of the day and before the night's activities. ]
