[There's a pile of books beside the beanbag this wolf is sitting in, a collection that seems to dip into some fairly advanced magic. Remus frowns as he flips through the pages. He's decided that he really ought to take advantage of his time here, and this little studying session promises to be the first of many. He seems preoccupied, though, and occasionally stares off into the corner of the room instead of at the pages before him, thinking about all he has to look forward to when he heads back to the cottage.]

I happened to find what I was looking for a bit ago, which admittedly, means I'm mostly trying to distract myself at this point.

Wonderful. You can tell me more about this place, then, if you're so desperate for a distraction. I've only been here once before and ended up in a city forty years ago. That's unusual, to say the least, and you're obviously comfortable here.

The doors are obviously portals of some sort, but are there limits to what's behind them? Is there a pattern? A map? Or is it open and hope?

Largely that last, yes. Some change and move, unfortunately, so the best that you can do is remember the general area and some sort of unique marking to any door you'd like to find again.

They go almost anywhere you can imagine. Including, if you weren't aware, any time.

Visiting the thirties was a cue, yes. And... this chair. You didnt summon it traditionally.

No, not precisely. I asked the Room for it, silently. You can start out with spoken requests if it makes you more comfortable, but it will generally respond to whatever you have your heart set on. Although it doesn't generally respond to requests for people.

Hmm. That does correlate with my earlier experience... do you believe the room to be sentient?

There doesn't appear to be a way to confirm either way, but my feeling is that it is a hub of such a great deal of magical energy and reaches out to so many consciousnesses across plural universes that it must have acquired some sort of a will. It certainly isn't consistent in its decisions, however.
